We were thrilled to continue this tradition in the Second Ward of Houston, Texas by bringing together artists, local businesses, and residents from the neighborhood. This block party featured over twenty artists live painting, classic cars cruising, live music, an art exhibition, and local vendors.
With over 2000 people in attendance, this was an opportunity for the community to come together, strengthen bonds and celebrate the neighborhood’s rich history of culture and art.

MEMORIAS DEL BARRIO
In Collaboration with the Houston Public Library
This gallery aimed to celebrate the rich culture and history of Segundo Barrio through storytelling and interactive art. Community members were invited to bring personal stories, family photos, and paper artifacts to help create meaningful artistic remembrances of life in Second Ward, Central Park, Magnolia Park, and beyond.
In partnership with the Houston history Research Center (HPL) and the Collective of Progressive Ecucators (COPE), items shared in the space were scanned, printed, and archives— ensuring that they become a part of Houstons historical record.
